PRESLEE"S ARRIVAL
Preslee was born on June 25, 2008 at 12:11 am. She is absolutely the coolest thing I have ever done!. It was a long and complicated birth, but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat to have her funky butt with us. Preslee Ann weighed 8lbs and 5 oz. She was 21 inches long. There just aren't words to describe how perfect I think she is.
It looks like her Daddy is pretty fond of her too!!!This was taken in the operating room just after her c-section.
This is my first time to hold my baby! We were both worn out from our 27 hour long ordeal, butit was love at first sight.

Preslee's first baby shower
Preslee had her first bay shower at Dana's house last month. We had so much fun! It was so excited. I can not believe how generous all of you are. We are a lucky little family. Dana, Ashlee & Adeana worked so hard to make the shower special. Dana and David spent days working on their home. Ashlee Stockin and Dana ran so many errands and paid attention to every detail to make the day perfect for Preslee and I. Ashlee made a HUGE diaper cake and a precious wreath for Preslee's door. Adeana helped them decorate and splatter Dana's house with cute decorations. These ladies are the bestest friends anyone could ask for. Amy Kate helped them out too. She wasn't able to be at the shower, but she chipped in and she was there in spirit. The ladies bought Preslee her purple stroller and carseat. I can not tell you how much these girls mean to me.
Mackayla and I at Preslee's baby shower. She picked out this cute big sis/little sis picture frame for Preslee. She has one that matches.
Preslee's 2nd baby shower
We are very lucky to have such a great support system. So many of our friends and family have done so much to help us plan and stock up for Preslee's birth. I am quite honored and touched that some you were willing to open your homes to us and throw Preslee a baby shower. Preslee's 2nd baby shower was at the home of Ms. Kandy Garret and hosted by Kandy and 9 of my Mom's good friends. These ladies are such wonderful friends to my Mom and I have come to accept them as my own friends. My Mom (AKA: Grammy) made Preslee another beautiful quilt!! I can not wait to see the baby wrapped up in her Grammy's quilt.
Getting ready for Preslee's arrival
Mackayla
Mackayla is a future rockstar! She loves to sing and she sings ALL THE TIME!!!! Hannah Montana has nothing on her. Yesterday she tried out for the school talent show. This will be her 2nd year to perform. She has so much courage and such a beautiful little voice. Mackayla will be singing a duet with one of her friends in Ms. Henry's class and she will also sing a solo. One of her music selections is a Hannah Montana song and the other is from High School Musical. We are so proud of her and I can't wait to see her perform!!! Here she is trying out.
(OK, so this is my first time to try this whole blog thing and I forgot to rotate the picture before I uploaded it. Lets all pretend that the picture is going the right way and I will try harder next time!!!)
Preslee's face
Here is Preslee's sweet little face. Again, this picture was taken at 26 weeks and she is now 33 weeks, so her face has probably changed. Although she probably looks a little different now, you can easy tell by this picture how beautiful she is going to be and how much she is going to look like her momma!! : )
Preslee's baby feet
My first blog!!
We are getting so excited about the upcoming arrival of Miss Preslee Ann Barnett!! I thought our little family needed a way to share with all of friends and family all the amazing things that make our family and days special. Mackayla amazes us daily and Preslee is sure to add much enjoyment to our lives as well. I can't wait to meet her and kiss her little baby feet!!!
